Courtesy of 9to5 Mac, there is what appears to be a leak of photos of the new 5G iPod touch front panel.

As noted by BGR, it would not be out of the question and it makes sense that Apple finally release a new iPod 5G white. They have a white iPhone (despite expanded production delays on the iPhone 4) and the new iPad 2 is also blank.

iPod Touch rumors pointed to an iPod Touch new date for the 2011 version, who bring gifts to an iPod Touch update. However, in a series of statements made by Concord Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may be forced to hold off on the redesign of the hardware in the new 5g iPod Touch:

"The iPhone and the iPad has a higher priority for the shared components of IOS devices, when the supply chain is tight (especially after the earthquake in Japan) ..." ... "This means that no specification update iPod touch this year ..." ... "The anticipation of high demand and Apple prefers to allocate the shared components on the iPhone and the iPad."
